Concurrence in New York is seeking a Senior Applied AI Engineer to own full customer use cases from brief to production. You will design architectures, set timelines, and deliver outcomes that move the customer metrics.

You will build field-proven patterns into the platform, integrate with EHR data, and mentor the team. This role blends hands-on engineering with product impact at a small, fast-moving startup.

Qualifications

• Shipping and owning complex production systems end to end with real users depending on them.
• Experience building with LLMs and agents in production, or the depth to get there quickly.
• Rigorous handling of non-deterministic systems; three runs are not enough evidence.

Responsibilities

• Own a whole use case end-to-end from deployment brief to production and beyond; define design and timelines.
• Build agent systems that survive clinical settings with hierarchical agents and evals.
• Handle EHR and customer data integration; map customer data to platform needs.
• Convert field-proven patterns into platform capabilities and optimize lookups to reduce work.
• Raise issues early when specs are unclear, integrations unsupported, or scope changes mid-build.
• Mentor engineers on your use case and write documentation that a new hire can pick up.
