Job summary

Hologic seeks a Senior Applied AI Engineer to drive practical AI initiatives across the company. You’ll work directly with business teams and engineers from problem discovery to production, balancing code and low-code approaches.

You will design and build AI solutions such as copilots and RAG apps on Azure, integrating with APIs and enterprise data, while ensuring security and operability. This role blends business-facing work with hands-on engineering to deliver measurable value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Five to eight years in software, solutions, data, or ML engineering with at least two years building AI/automation solutions.
• Solid programming skills in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or similar, plus willingness to use low-code platforms.

Responsibilities

• Work with business teams to identify AI-enabled problems and define success measures.
• Run discovery sessions to map current processes and pinpoint real problems.
• Design and build AI solutions (copilots, agents, RAG apps) and integrate with enterprise APIs and data.
• Ensure production readiness with security, monitoring, and maintainability.
