Job summary

Motorola Solutions in Chicago is seeking a Senior Applied AI Engineer for the Supply Chain team. You will shape the technical vision and design for integrating foundational models and autonomous systems into our global logistics network, owning end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise-grade AI products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software, data, or ML engineering with AI deployment experience.
• Expert-level Python and SQL; strong cloud infrastructure knowledge (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Mastery of LLM orchestration frameworks and vector databases; retrieval optimization.
• Production engineering with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, APIs, and observability.
• Ability to influence roadmaps and communicate AI constraints to non-technical leaders.
• Experience with BI automation, Text-to-SQL, and dashboard generation via API.

Responsibilities

• Enterprise LLM Architecture: Architect, deploy, and scale robust Conversational AI apps.
• Advanced Multi-Agent Systems: Lead agentic workflows with autonomous actions and HITL safety.
• Real-Time Event Orchestration: Build event-driven pipelines for proactive alerts and anomalies.
• Evaluate & Evolve Architectures: Own GenAI data platform and migrate to next-gen frameworks.
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Mentor engineers and set MLOps standards.
• Build Autonomous Agents: Design and deploy semi- and fully autonomous AI agents.
• Drive Proactive Automation: Evolve interfaces into proactive dashboards for business users.
• AI Evaluation & Benchmarking: Design evaluation strategies using Langfuse.
• Data & API Integration: Connect AI systems with data warehouses and BI tools.
• Technical Leadership: Guide architecture, MLOps, and best practices.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Translate requirements with supply chain leadership.
