Onto Innovation is seeking a Senior Applications Engineer to lead development, validation, and deployment of advanced inspection solutions across our product portfolio. You will collaborate with Product Development, Systems, Software, and Marketing to transform emerging technologies into scalable customer solutions.

The role supports New Product Introduction and strategic engagements across wafer inspection, advanced packaging, and semiconductor manufacturing, with up to 30% travel and global

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in a technical field with 5+ years in semiconductor inspection or related areas.
• Experience solving complex problems with data-driven analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and validation of advanced inspection recipes for defect detection and yield improvement.
• Design customer workflows and establish Best Known Methods for global deployment.
• Drive NPI activities, validation plans, and customer evaluations for new products.
• Lead customer demonstrations, strategic engagements, and technical roadmaps.
