Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking a seasoned professional to act as the technical expert for optical inspection systems in Semiconductor and Advanced Packaging. You will develop test plans, optimize inspection recipes, and collaborate with customers to translate challenges into system solutions.

The role involves supporting NPI activities, providing training, and traveling up to 20% to customer sites and field teams as required.

Qualifications

Minimum 3+ years of proven industry experience in wafer inspection or advanced packaging processes.
Hands-on experience supporting manufacturing and customer applications.

Responsibilities

Serve as the technical expert for optical inspection systems for Semiconductor and Advanced Packaging applications.
Develop and execute comprehensive application and system-level test plans to validate performance against product specifications.
Develop, optimize, and validate inspection recipes to meet customer requirements and manufacturing use cases.
Work closely with customers to understand process challenges, defect mechanisms, and inspection requirements, translating into system and application solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development and deployment.
Analyze experimental results, generate technical reports, and present findings to engineering teams and customers.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including characterization and beta testing.
Provide technical training and application support to customers, field teams, and internal stakeholders.
