Job summary

Siemens Mobility seeks a Senior Applications Engineer for the Solutions Offers team in a hybrid role with travel to the Wendell, NC office as needed. You will support regional engineering KPIs, coordinate remote teams, and drive front-end quotations and solution proposals.

The candidate will collaborate with PDM, Product Standardization, and Digital Knowledgebase teams to improve design guidelines, part libraries, and configurator rules while managing hub budgets and developing an engineers'

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• 7+ years experience supporting application engineering teams with solutions proposals
• 3+ years of relevant front end quotations experience
• Ability to analyze customer’s technical specifications & single line diagrams, apply appropriate product offerings to meet the customers’ expectations in cost-effective and timely manner, offer alternative solutions to optimize profitability while meeting customer needs.
• Travel Required – 10-15%

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed Engineering quality KPIs for assigned products.
• Ensure remote teams perform effectively with regional management.
• Provide input to the PDM Team to enable the delivery of effective process training materials.
• Contribute to the Product Standardization Team to design, maintain, and enhance design guidelines and standard part libraries.
• Support the Digital Knowledgebase Team to improve rules, interlockings, and standards within product configurators.
• Own and manage hub employee cost centers for the product lines against budgets.
• Create and maintain skills matrix for the hub team of engineers.
• Identify training gaps and develop training classes to address learning opportunities
