Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Technical Service Engineer (Application Engineering) to provide customer-facing technical support across the product development lifecycle. You will bridge customers, sales, and global R&D to deliver material solutions and product launches.

The role combines polymer knowledge with application engineering, troubleshooting and direct customer engagement, with travel across North America and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 5+ years in application engineering, technical service or polymer engineering.
• Strong understanding of engineering thermoplastics and injection molding fundamentals.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities.
• Proven ability to translate technical issues into practical customer solutions and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers through the product development lifecycle from requirements to qualification, validation and launch.
• Develop technical solutions for engineering plastics, material selection and processing conditions.
• Support molding trials, product evaluations and qualification activities with technical recommendations.
• Troubleshoot material, molding and application issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Evaluate relationships among material properties, processing, dimensional stability and performance.
• Prepare technical reports, processing recommendations and customer presentations.
