Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions partners with a global manufacturer of engineering plastics to hire a Technical Service Engineer (Application Engineering). You will provide customer-facing technical support throughout product development, aid in material selection, processing optimization and product launches.

The role is highly cross-functional, bridging customers, sales, and global R&D across regions with travel to domestic and international sites. Hybrid/remote options available from Michigan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline related to polymers.
• 5+ years in application engineering, technical service or related field.
• Strong understanding of engineering thermoplastics and molding fundamentals.
• Ability to translate technical challenges into practical solutions.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including South America.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers through the product development lifecycle from requirements to launch.
• Develop technical solutions on material selection, molding and processing.
• Support molding trials, evaluations and qualification activities.
• Troubleshoot material, molding and application issues with root-cause analysis.
• Prepare reports, recommendations and customer presentations.
• Collaborate with Sales, R&D, and product teams on projects.
