Job summary

Synopsys Inc. seeks a seasoned Physical Verification expert to drive IC Validator evaluations and build robust rule decks. You will engage with leading customers, develop PV automation, and guide deployments from initial tests to production use.

You will apply deep tool knowledge, runsets, and scripting to streamline complex signoffs and accelerate adoption of AI-assisted PV workflows in a high-performance semiconductor environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Physical Verification, including DRC/LVS/FILL/PERC.
• Proficient with IC Validator, Calibre, Assura or equivalent tools.
• Strong scripting in Python, TCL, Perl, or shell for runsets.
• Experience driving customer evaluations and deployments at semiconductor companies.
• Familiar with Fusion Compiler or Innovus and custom layout environments.

Responsibilities

• Drive IC Validator evaluations and competitive benchmarks at leading semiconductor customers from setup to signoff.
• Develop, customize, and debug PV rule decks and runsets for DRC, LVS, FILL, and PERC across nodes.
• Resolve complex customer issues spanning tool behavior, runset logic, and design methodology.
• Lead technical demos, trainings, and customer engagements moving evaluations to deployment.
• Build and support AI/ML and agentic PV applications, including intelligent debug and workflow automation.
• Collaborate with R&D, Product Engineering, and Sales to translate feedback into product needs.
• Script and automate PV flows with Python, TCL, Perl, and shell to boost productivity.
