G&F Precision Molding Inc. in Fiskdale, MA or Danvers, MA is seeking a Senior Applications Engineer to lead and implement technical solutions for customers while supporting the engineering team.

You will evaluate manufacturability, lead tooling and automation strategies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive cost modeling and design for manufacturing using SolidWorks, with occasional travel.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science in Plastics or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in injection molding, molds, applications engineering, manufacturing engineering, technical sales, or customer-facing engineering.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; ITAR compliant (US Citizen or Permanent Resident).
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, and SolidWorks (or equivalent CAD software).

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate customer silicone rubber and plastic applications for manufacturability.
• Identify tooling, automation, injection molding, and risk reduction strategies to manufacture custom parts.
• Partner with mold making, equipment, automation, quality and material experts to develop robust solutions and align cross-functional teams around project requirements.
• Develop cost models, margin recommendations, and quotation strategies that balance customer value, technical risk, and business objectives.
• Confidently lead tradeoff discussions, challenge unrealistic requirements, and make commitments the organization can keep.
• Lead design for manufacturing activities using SolidWorks, mold filling analysis, CT scanning, and other technologies.
• Guide prototyping and technical risk reduction on key projects to support programs through to execution.
