Job summary

Masis Professional Group seeks a Senior Applications Engineer in Danvers, MA or Fiskdale, MA to lead and implement technical solutions for customers and support engineering teams. You will manage design for manufacturing, prototyping, and cost modeling across cross-functional groups.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in injection molding and is proficient with SolidWorks, 2D drawings, and CAD tools, with strong communication skills and ISO 9001/13485 familiarity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in injection molding and applications engineering.
• Bachelor of Science in Plastics or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; ITAR compliant.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and CAD; ability to interpret 2D drawings.
• ISO 9001 and/or 13485 knowledge preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer silicone rubber and plastic applications for manufacturability.
• Lead tooling, automation, injection molding, and risk reduction strategies.
• Collaborate with mold making, equipment, automation, quality and materials teams to develop robust solutions.
• Develop cost models, margin recommendations, and quotation strategies.
• Lead design for manufacturing activities using SolidWorks, mold filling analysis, CT scanning.
• Guide prototyping and risk reduction on key projects.
• Lead cross-department handoffs and strategic reviews.
