Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an Applications Engineer with 7.5–10 years of experience to join the Memory Products Business Unit (MPD).

You will help develop and maintain EEPROM, Flash, SRAM, EERAM, and RTCC products, collaborating with new product teams to support definition, validation, and introduction processes. You will assist customers with technical challenges, provide expert knowledge of MPD products and tools, and contribute to training, demos, and technical collateral for

Qualifications

• Experience with embedded hardware, board development and firmware design.
• BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar engineering discipline.
• 7.5-10 years experience with embedded systems design and software programming techniques.
• Strong C/C++ and Python development skills in an embedded environment.
• Familiarity with I2C and SPI protocols.
• Real world debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Good organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal abilities in English.

Responsibilities

• Developing collateral such as Data Sheets, Application Notes, Technical Briefs, Code Libraries, and Design Objective Specs.
• Providing technical assistance to customers and field engineering for overcoming hardware and software design hurdles.
• Developing and presenting technical training to customers, field applications engineers, and field sales.
• Creating demos and presentations to support trade shows and customer engagements.
• Becoming a product technical expert for supporting customers, sales, and field engineering communities.
• Delivering quality projects to meet the expectations of both internal and external customers.
• Working with worldwide cross-functional teams.
