Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an Applications Engineer with 7.5–10 years of embedded systems experience to join the Memory Products Business Unit and contribute to the development and maintenance of EEPROM, Flash, SRAM, EERAM, and RTCC products.

You will collaborate with new product teams on definition, validation, and introduction processes and assist customers with technical challenges. Responsibilities include creating technical collateral, delivering trainings, and presenting demos

Qualifications

BS degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
7.5–10 years of embedded systems design and firmware experience.
Strong C/C++ and Python in embedded environments.
Experience with I2C and SPI protocols.
Excellent written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

Develop collateral such as Data Sheets, Application Notes, Technical Briefs, Code Libraries, and Design Objective Specs
Providing technical assistance to customers and field engineering for overcoming hardware and software design hurdles
Developing and presenting technical training to customers, field applications engineers, and field sales
Creating demos and presentations to support trade shows and customer engagements
Becoming a product technical expert for supporting customers, sales, and field engineering communities
Delivering quality projects to meet the expectations of both internal and external customers
Working with worldwide cross-functional teams
