Job summary

Zohorecruit seeks a senior Applications Engineer (Level 4) at Fort Meade, MD to lead design of software tools and sustain mission-critical security tool suites. You will guide full-lifecycle development across Enterprise IT and IC GovCloud, monitor NISIRT systems, analyze vulnerabilities, and drive engineering changes.

The role requires active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, hands-on system integration, and leadership of engineering teams through deployment and training.

Qualifications

• Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Core Engineering & Tool Sustainment: Monitor, maintain, and upgrade enterprise security tools and databases.
• Vulnerability & Gap Analysis: Conduct gap analyses, evaluate COTS/GOTS cybersecurity products, deliver trade studies.
• System Integration: Design GUI/web interfaces, implement access controls, integrate data ingestion pipelines with scanning tools.
• Full-Lifecycle Leadership: Manage software configurations, author ECPs, lead QA, train end users.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor, maintain, upgrade, and patch security tool suites and NISIRT systems to ensure 24/7 readiness.
• Perform vulnerability and deficiency analyses across Enterprise IT and IC GovCloud tool suites.
• Conduct AoA and author Technical Analysis packages and ECPs for government evaluation.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document custom software tools, web front-ends, GUI interfaces.
• Integrate COTS/GOTS software and hardware for interoperability across cloud and on-prem architectures.
• Define and implement robust access controls and security interfaces.
• Direct and review the technical work of task personnel and provide QA estimates.
• Coordinate testing, integration, and deployment with external owners and train users.
