Zohorecruit seeks an experienced Software Engineer (Level 1) with an active TS/SCI clearance and Full Scope Polygraph to join our Laurel, MD team. You will develop secure software components, couple cyber research with operational capability, and contribute across full-stack architectures in a government-aligned environment.

The role emphasizes building robust software solutions, applying security controls, and using Java, Spring, Gradle, Docker, and Linux tooling to deliver mission-ready

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus 7 years of software engineering experience on similar scope and complexity, OR 11 years of software engineering experience without a degree.
• Strong hands-on proficiency with Java.
• Solid understanding of Gradle, Spring Framework, Docker, and Git.
• Hands-on experience in Linux and Bash environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and prototype software applications translating emerging applied cyber research into real-world mission capabilities.
• Create hardware and software component design specifications adhering to industry-standard development methodologies.
• Implement robust application designs encompassing security controls, database connectivity, performance optimization, and intuitive interfaces.
• Build and manage builds and dependencies using Java, Spring, Gradle, and Docker.
• Work within Linux/Bash environments to build, debug, deploy, and maintain software components.
• Execute comprehensive unit, integration, and functional testing; document results per approved test plans.
