Job summary

BTS Software Solutions is seeking a Senior Applications Engineer III with an active TS/SCI w/ POLY to join our team in Ft. Meade, MD. You will design software tools and subsystems, manage development using formal methods, and oversee testing, documentation, and QA.

The role involves evaluating vulnerabilities, researching commercial products, coordinating with multiple teams, and deploying security tool solutions across IC GovCloud environments.

Qualifications

• Fifteen (15) years experience in the computer science or software engineering disciplines is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Designs software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain analyses and manages their implementation.
• Manages software development and support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, CASE tools and other design techniques.
• Estimates software development costs and schedule.
• Reviews existing programs and refines, reduces operating time and improves techniques.
• Defines specifications for software applications or maintains existing applications using engineering releases and utilities.
• Responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation.
• Instructs, directs, and checks the work of other personnel.
• Responsible for quality assurance review and evaluation of software products.
