Job summary

AT&T is seeking a Lead Applications Developer to modernize and reliably operate Results Online and its critical applications. You will design, develop, test, and implement Java-based solutions, maintain and optimize Oracle databases, and drive CI/CD across Azure DevOps and GitHub in a Linux environment.

Role requires 5+ years of experience, a Bachelor’s in CS/Software Eng, and a strong background in Java, Oracle, and cloud data platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in application development or software engineering.
• Expert-level experience with Java, J2EE, Java Servlets, and Apache Tomcat.
• Strong experience with Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Advanced proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Apache Ant, and Bash scripting.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure DevOps, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong working knowledge of Linux and Linux-based environments.

Responsibilities

• Software Development: Design, develop, test, and implement applications that meet business requirements and user needs.
• Application Maintenance: Enhance existing applications, resolve defects, improve performance, increase automation, and maintain compatibility with evolving technologies.
• Requirements Analysis and Documentation: Gather and analyze requirements and user stories, and maintain technical documentation throughout the lifecycle.
• Quality Assurance and Support: Conduct code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and provide ongoing production support.
• Technical Leadership: Independently lead significant development initiatives and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Project Delivery: Manage development activities, dependencies, and risks to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule.
• Continuous Improvement: Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to practices and architecture.
