Job summary
RBC Bearings Incorporated invites applications for an Applications/Design Engineer III. This role focuses on design, development, and testing of bearing products, working with customers and the sales team to solve design challenges.
You will guide engineering analysis, GD&T application, and documentation to support new programs and continuous improvement. You will collaborate with manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and sales to optimize products and processes, travel up to 25% for customer
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 6+ years of experience OR Associate degree with 8+ years of experience
- Experience in component design, modeling, detail design, and analysis
- Substitution option for military experience in lieu of engineering experience
- US Person required
- Attendance and punctuality essential
Responsibilities
- Interact with customers to define application needs and propose solutions
- Develop bearing designs based on customer requirements and operating conditions
- Lead design reviews and ensure documentation meets ASME/Y14.5 standards
- Perform stress/FEA analysis and support new product development
- Oversee pathfinder production procedures and testing plans
- Travel up to ~25% to support customers and projects
