Job summary

DTCC seeks an experienced Application Support Engineer to maintain stability and performance of critical post-trade platforms. You will diagnose production issues, support deployments, and improve observability across cloud and on-prem environments.

You will collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure operational readiness and resilience, while embracing automation and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years in application or production support in financial services or regulated environments.
• Experience supporting mission-critical Java/J2EE enterprise apps in complex production.
• Strong troubleshooting across apps, databases, middleware, messaging, and infra.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support for mission-critical applications, ensuring incidents are resolved timely.
• Monitor health across applications, infrastructure, messaging, and cloud elements with observability tools.
• Perform root-cause analysis across layers to identify recurring issues and fixes.
• Collaborate with dev, infra, cloud, security, and vendor teams to resolve challenges.
• Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge articles for coverage and upgrades.
• Support deployments, releases, vendor upgrades, and environment changes.
• Execute DR/BCP and failover tests and document results.
• Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual tasks and boost recovery times.
