Job summary

Inceed is partnering with a leading company to hire a Senior Application Specialist for a six-month contract based in Houston, onsite. You will support business users, translate needs into solutions, and collaborate with technical teams to improve configurations and workflows across multiple groups.

The role emphasizes functional analysis over heavy programming, with regular communication across business units and a focus on keeping operations moving smoothly. Onsite work is expected.

Compensation:

$70 - $85 /hour, depending on experience

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Senior ApplicationSpecialist to join their team!

This is a strong contract opportunity for a functional-leaning analyst who enjoys working closely with business teams and technical partners. You’ll support application improvements, help translate business needs into workable solutions, and play a key role in keeping operations moving smoothly across multiple groups.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Support business users with application-related needs.
• Gather requirements and translate them into actionable solutions.
• Partner with technical teams on configurations and enhancements.
• Communicate regularly with multiple business units.
• Assist with issue resolution and application support activities.
• Document processes, needs, and solution details clearly.
• Help improve workflows and system usability.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience in application support, business analysis, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of business processes and system functionality.
• Ability to work in a more functional than technical capacity.
• Comfort communicating with diverse business stakeholders.
• Experience supporting configuration or process improvement efforts.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams.
• Must be work-authorized without sponsorship.
• Open to contract work.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Background in HSE or a similar operational environment.
• Experience working with MSP-supported teams.
• Exposure to backend systems or application administration.
• Prior experience in industrial or energy-related settings.
• Familiarity with simple system configurations.
