Job summary

Xylem is seeking a Sr. Manager, Application Engineering for the Water Solutions Systems (WSS) Capital Solutions group.

This role leads a team of Application Engineers supporting North American and select global opportunities and works with sales to ensure discovery and Go/No-Go decisions are solid. You will drive process improvements, mentor engineers, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver compliant, high-quality proposals while staying current with industry developments and

Qualifications

• A master's degree in chemical engineering with 7+ years of experience or a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or related field with at least 10 years of experience.
• 3-5 years of people management experience required.
• Proficiency in integrated business management and CRM software.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Application Engineers supporting work in primarily North America, but some global opportunities.
• Provide opportunity Go/No Go support.
• Review opportunities for sufficient Discovery.
• Manage the opportunity funnel and assignment to various Application Engineers.
• Collaborate with other engineers and scientists to develop new technologies and solutions.
• Coordinate with cross functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Provide technical support to customers and colleagues, answering inquiries and troubleshooting issues.
• Stay up to date with industry developments and trends to provide expert technical advice.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures in the design and operation of chemical processes.
