Job summary

Watlow is seeking a Senior Application Engineer to serve as a technical resource for customers, sales channels and internal teams. You will translate customer needs into practical product and application solutions, lead complex technical activities, and support development of standard and modified-standard solutions.

This role partners with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Quality and customers to develop quotes, drawings, BOMs, prototypes, tests and production instructions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Typically 7+ years of application engineering, technical sales support or related experience.
• Experience creating or interpreting CAD drawings, BOMs, routings and technical documentation.
• Strong customer-facing communication, listening, presentation and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical application support to sales, customers and distributors and train staff as needed.
• Advise on product selection, set-up and programming, including control products where applicable.
• Translate customer requirements into clear technical instructions for production and internal teams.
• Prepare quotes and support orders, including documentation for manufacturing and quality.
