This role focuses on leading the design, implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of enterprise HR technology platforms that power the employee lifecycle—from hiring and onboarding through performance development and learning.

As a Senior Application Engineer supporting HR Technologies, you will be a hands‑on technical leader responsible for ensuring HR systems are reliable, secure, user‑friendly, and aligned with organizational priorities. You’ll work closely with HR leaders, technology partners, security teams, and external vendors to deliver solutions that balance user experience, compliance, and long‑term scalability.

This role is well suited for someone who enjoys deep technical ownership, problem‑solving, and cross‑functional collaboration within a complex, professional services environment.

What You’ll Do
HR Systems Ownership & Delivery
  • Lead the full lifecycle of HR and talent technology platforms, including implementation, enhancements, optimization, and post‑launch support.
  • Support systems across recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and learning platforms.
Advanced Application Support
  • Provide senior‑level (Tier 3) support for HR applications, diagnosing complex issues and deploying durable solutions that prevent recurrence.
Technical & Functional Leadership
  • Act as the primary technical and functional point of contact for HR systems, advising stakeholders on platform capabilities, configuration options, and future enhancements.
  • Partner with HR leaders to shape system roadmaps that align with evolving business needs.
User‑Focused Solution Design
  • Translate business requirements into thoughtful system configurations that improve usability, efficiency, and adoption.
  • Advocate for a strong employee and administrator experience across platforms.
Security, Compliance & Governance
  • Collaborate with Technology, Security, HR, and vendors to ensure systems meet data privacy, security, and governance requirements.
  • Support audits and risk reviews related to HR technology.
Integrations & Data Flow
  • Design, build, and maintain integrations between HR platforms and upstream/downstream systems using APIs.
  • Ensure accurate, secure, and reliable data exchange across the ecosystem.
Vendor & Partner Collaboration
  • Manage working relationships with software vendors and implementation partners, ensuring solutions align with internal standards and long‑term strategy.
Reporting & Analytics Enablement
  • Partner with HR and business stakeholders to develop reporting, dashboards, and analytics that enable data‑driven decision‑making.
Documentation & Standards
  • Create and maintain system documentation, configuration standards, and support procedures to promote consistency, scalability, and operational continuity.
What You Bring

Technical Skill Set
  • Experience with one or more programming or scripting languages (e.g., Java, .NET, Python).
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with complex datasets.
Integration & Identity Knowledge
  • Hands‑on experience with SaaS platforms, APIs, and integration patterns.
  • Familiarity with Single Sign‑On (SSO) and identity technologies such as SAML and OAuth.
