Job Description

Senior Application Development IT Project Manager

Seeking a contract IT Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you are responsible for driving application development projects from inception to completion. The position is 100% remote and will lead resources from external vendors, internal support teams and primarily our on-shore and off-shore development teams. This position reports to the Director of Application Development and needs to work autonomously with little direction from his/her manager.

Your ability to work independently, coupled with your strong leadership skills, will be essential in steering projects through various phases while ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex IT projects, demonstrating exceptional problem-solving skills, and the capacity to adapt to changing environments and challenges. Location: Remote 100%

Duration: 6 Months with high probability of extensions (they great resources)

Responsibilities (May Perform Other Duties And Responsibilities, As Assigned).

• Application development project experience with either custom application development or integrating into SAAS solutions.
• Ability to manage remote and offshore teams.
• Comfortable navigating in an undefined space.
• Responsible for running complex programs and projects. Selects, prioritizes, links, and aligns the projects asks within the program along with their structural dependencies to help achieve optimum benefits of the program.
• Facilitates and makes trade off decisions between quality, costs, resources, scope, and time.
• Undertakes strategy creation for contingency planning and risk mitigation.
• Plans and schedules project goals, milestones, and deliverables. Project plans must include an integrated set of milestones and deliverables for business, IT, and third-party activities. May include coordinating activities of other project managers, either True Value, contract or third party.
• Defines requirements and plans the project life cycle deployment. Defines resources for project and program implementation. Identifies and solves project risks and issues effectively.
• Oversees and directs the project team managing conflicts within different groups.
• Responsible for developing transition tasks to ensure operational objectives are met after solution deployed including but not limited to Service Level Agreements, Identification of Support Model, Operational Documentation, and Training. Delivers the project and works through remaining tasks to achieve/measure and document benefit for the project.
• Ability to drive the team’s direction and is accountable to the outcomes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a matrixed organization.
• Agile experience delivering incremental functionality via sprints/releases which delivers incremental business value.

Education & Experience

• 10 or more years of experience, preferably in technology and/or project management.
• Individuals in this role must understand how to deliver projects in a structured manner and have great organizational, communication, financial, and relationship management skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in technology or equivalent work experience.
  
  

Licenses & Certifications: PMP or similar project management certification preferred
