Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Sr. Application Developer. This remote role expects occasional in-person meetings in Bethesda, MD and requires the ability to obtain a Public Trust suitability determination.

Essential duties include designing and implementing complex software components, analyzing requirements, and mentoring junior developers. The role demands deep expertise in .NET, SharePoint, Nintex K2, and integration with diverse platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field and 5+ years of relevant professional experience or equivalent.
• 4 years overseeing application development and quality control.
• 5 years’ experience with .NET and SharePoint 2016/2019/SE/SPO, MVC, Ajax.
• 5 years’ experience with Nintex K2 automation.
• Experience with ActivePDF products, Telerik RadControls and iText/iTextSharp.
• Experience writing web service calls.
• 5 years’ experience writing stored procedures for SQL Server and Oracle.
• 3 years’ experience using USWDS.
• Experience with claims-based authentication.

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements analysis to develop detailed technical specifications and integration considerations.
• Design and implement complex software components across multiple technologies.
• Resolve defects, evaluate system impact, and develop robust enhancements.
• Drive improvements in coding standards, workflows, testing strategies, and operations.
• Provide knowledge transfer, coaching, and informal mentoring to junior developers.
• Work as part of a development team to design software applications.
• Recommend product revisions or enhancements based on user feedback.
• Develop and maintain documentation or user manuals.
