Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. This role is remote with occasional in-person meetings in Bethesda, MD and requires the ability to obtain Public Trust suitability.

The engineer will architect, implement, and integrate SharePoint-based solutions, manage security requirements, and mentor colleagues while delivering high-quality software in a cloud-enabled environment. Proven experience with SharePoint on-prem and Online, Nintex K2, Azure, and security frameworks

Job description

Maximus is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer.

This position is remote with the expectation for occasional in-person meetings in Bethesda, MD and requires the ability to obtain Public Trust suitability determination.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with the Functional Team to gather a detailed understanding of the business requirements.
• Participate and provide support in the analysis of the requirements, fit- gap analysis, and the design of the solution.
• Define and document the technical design of the solution including facilitating reviews and approvals.
• Develop and configure the technical modules including integrations as defined in the technical design document.
• Perform thorough unit testing of the developed modules including demonstrating the solution as required.
• Provide necessary support during system, integration, performance testing, and end-user training.
• May provide guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within job area.

Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Architect, administer, patch and configure SharePoint on-prem and SharePoint online environments and network connectivity.
• Support security assessment and authorization activities.
• Propose software solutions.
• Determine the cost of new and modified systems.
• Develop, design, and execute third-party application modifications.

Job-Specific Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 5+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Work will be remote with the expectation for occasional in-person meetings in Bethesda, MD.
• Must be able to obtain Public Trust suitability determination.
• 5 years’ experience architecting, administering, patching, and configuring SharePoint on premises 2016/2019/SE/SPO.
• Experience configuring SharePoint Online and migrating SharePoint sites from on-premises to SharePoint Online.
• Experience configuring and managing Power Gateway.
• 5 years’ experience configuring and upgrading Nintex K2 automation.
• Experience configuring and managing F5 Silverline Web Application Firewall (WAF) Proxy, SSL, Threat Profiles settings as well as trouble shooting firewall and connectivity issues.
• 5 years’ experience supporting Drupal 8/9/10/11 in Azure, creating resource groups, provisioning VMs, and associated resources, managing firewall rules via Network Security Groups.
• 5 years’ experience supporting FISMA security assessment and authorization activities.
• Experience managing servers in Azure.
