Job summary
Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking an Application Delivery Technical Lead to guide software engineers, design scalable solutions, and ensure alignment with IT standards. This role blends architecture, mentorship, and hands-on delivery to build integrated enterprise software.
The candidate will work with architects, developers, and business users to resolve complex problems, deliver code modules, and drive successful project outcomes within a leading LTL carrier environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; equivalent work experience considered.
- 5 years of software development experience.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Experience in designing and delivering enterprise software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance to software engineers and review complex software designs.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and business users to align solutions with IT standards.
- Balance design/mentorship with hands-on coding (~50/50).
- Develop and validate complex software designs and prototypes.
- Lead implementation and deployment of enterprise software solutions and ensure proper documentation.
