Job summary

Premera is seeking a Software Development Engineer IV with Appian expertise to lead enterprise workflow automation initiatives that enhance operations across Appeals, Prior Authorization, and other healthcare processes.

You will collaborate with Product Owners, Analysts, and Architects to translate business requirements into scalable, integrated solutions, mentor teammates, and push for architectural excellence in an Agile setting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
8+ years of relevant software development experience.
Appian experience strongly preferred.
Expertise in business process automation solutions.
Exposure to RESTful APIs and creating services for integrations.
Ability to communicate well and work across teams in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and support enterprise workflow automation solutions using Appian and related automation platforms.
Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
Lead delivery of complex automation initiatives including case management and integrations.
Develop integrations with internal and external systems using RESTful APIs and web services.
Leverage AI capabilities and automation to improve classification, extraction, summarization, routing, and decision support.
Provide technical leadership and guidance across projects; drive code quality and governance.
