Job summary

Pacific Life in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Appian Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise workflow solutions that automate business processes and improve operational efficiency.

You will join the CMD Technology division, collaborating with product owners, analysts, architects, and developers to deliver scalable Appian components, integrations, and data models. A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of Appian experience are required, plus strong communication and Agile teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on Appian development experience.
• Experience designing and building workflow applications using Appian.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Appian solutions that support business process automation and workflow modernization initiatives.
• Partner with product owners, business analysts, architects, and development teams to deliver scalable and maintainable applications.
• Develop Appian components including user interfaces, process models, record types, integrations, business rules, and data structures.
• Build and support integrations with enterprise systems, databases, cloud platforms, and APIs.
• Participate in Agile delivery activities including solution design, estimation, sprint planning, testing, and release execution.
• Troubleshoot application issues and implement solutions that improve performance, reliability, and user experience.
