Job summary

Pacific Life in Newport Beach, CA, is seeking a Sr Platform Appian Engineer II to join the BPM Enablement Platform team. Hybrid role supporting Appian Investment Applications within the Institutional division and applying enterprise standards.

You will partner with Technology and Business teams to understand processes, develop simple solutions, monitor performance, and implement updates and best practices. Strong Appian BPM and software development experience are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or related field.
5+ years designing and developing BPM applications.
Appian Level 2 and/or 3 Certification required.
Software development experience in .NET, Java, VB, C#.
Familiarity with HTML/CSS, JavaScript, UI/UX design.
Experience with Appian Admin console and application servers helpful.
Familiarity with Appian Integrations and Plug-Ins.
Familiarity with MS-SQL or equivalent.
Experience in Agile team environments.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Tech and Business teams to understand processes and provide end-user support.
Develop simple, effective, and innovative workflow solutions.
Ensure smooth operation of Investments Appian apps via monitoring and updates.
Identify process improvements and implement enhancements for efficiency.
Assist with programming docs and standards across development.
Perform development and testing/debugging using best practices.
Share knowledge of Investments Appian applications with the team.
