Job summary

Forge Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Appian IT Specialist to deliver secure mission applications in a DoW customer environment. You will lead feature-level design, build Appian records, interfaces, rules, and processes, and promote releases through DevSecOps controls.

The role requires 7+ years of IT experience with Appian, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, active security credentials, and the ability to work remotely in the DMV/NCR area.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional IT experience with substantial Appian development.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent, or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Advanced Appian development experience: records, data fabric, interfaces, processes, integrations, releases.
• Experience with Appian records, SAIL, expression rules, process models, integrations, data stores, and security.
• Experience integrating Appian with REST APIs and relational databases using secure patterns.
• Experience designing synced/unsynced record types and maintainable query patterns.
• Ability to review code, troubleshoot complex issues, and mentor less-experienced developers.
• Active CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoW-baseline cybersecurity certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead feature-level Appian design and development across records, interfaces, and processes.
• Build secure integrations with REST APIs, relational databases, and external systems.
• Apply security patterns and least-privilege access in designs.
• Develop reusable components and maintain standards for documentation and testing.
• Create and maintain unit tests and support automated UI, regression, and accessibility testing.
• Mentor junior Appian practitioners and review peer work.
• Define data-fabric designs and data access patterns for scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with product owners, data engineers, testers, and security personnel.
