Job summary

Forge Group, LLC is seeking an Appian Subject Matter Expert to guide low‑code delivery in a secure DoW customer environment. You will translate mission needs into scalable Appian architecture, govern designs, and ensure secure, testable, accessible, and maintainable solutions.

Responsibilities include owning architecture across data fabric, records, and integrations, mentoring teams, and leading security-minded design reviews.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with DoD environment experience and security requirements.
• Bachelor's degree or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Extensive hands-on Appian architecture and development experience across records, data fabric, interfaces, processes, and integrations.
• Active security clearance or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Own Appian application architecture across record types, data fabric, data models, interfaces, expression rules, process models, sites, and integrations.
• Translate requirements into technical designs, boundaries, maps, and delivery standards.
• Establish secure design patterns and least-privilege access for security across objects, records, processes, and integrations.
• Lead architecture and code reviews, identifying risks before release.
• Design integration patterns with APIs, relational data, document services, and microservices.
• Define record-type strategies and data access, relationships, and query patterns in Appian.
• Set strategy for unit, UI, regression, and performance testing; production-readiness assurance.
• Diagnose complex sync, query, interface, and integration issues in controlled environments.
• Mentor developers, promote reusable components, and document technical work.
• Partner with product, security, testing, data, and integration teams for auditable DoW capability.
