Job summary

University of Florida Jacksonville Physicians, Inc. seeks an Advanced Practice Provider III (APP III) licensed in Florida and/or Georgia to deliver direct patient care under medical supervision.

The APP III will apply subspecialty knowledge in outpatient and/or inpatient settings, may perform procedures, and may work in NICU depending on department. Responsibilities include referrals, procedure coordination, education, EMR documentation, and potential call coverage.

Qualifications

• 2 years of Outpatient/Inpatient experience.
• Masters Nurse Practitioner or Masters Physician Assistant Program required.
• Licensed in Florida and/or Georgia at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under physician supervision.
• Provides timely referrals, coordinates procedures, and discharge planning as appropriate.
• Educates patients and families about health care and disease management.
• Performs or assists with high-complexity procedures within scope of practice.
• Documents encounters and maintains accurate EMR records.
• Call coverage may be required.
