Job summary

The University of Florida Jacksonville Physicians, Inc. is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider IV (APP IV) licensed in Florida and/or Georgia to deliver direct patient care under physician supervision.

The role spans inpatient, critical care, clinics, OR, Labor & Delivery, and/or Emergency Department settings. Responsibilities include performing or assisting with high-complexity procedures, patient education, and care coordination across pre-/post-operative patients.

Qualifications

• Requires Master’s PA or NP with Florida/Georgia licensure.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• New grads in Orthopedics must obtain DEA within 90 days of hire.
• Travel up to 25%.
• 2 years of critical care, Labor & delivery/ED/OR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs or assists with high-complexity procedures in office, inpatient unit, operating room, or ED; may perform first-assist in OR.
• Educates and counsels patients and families regarding health care.
• Monitors or manages medical/invasive devices and placement within scope; manages pre-/post-operative care.
• Delivers comprehensive health management plans with physicians and other professionals; documents in EMR.
• Participates in meetings and interdisciplinary teams; contributes to program development and quality improvement.
