Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in English, technical communications, computer science or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience as a technical writer for a developer audience at a fast-paced software company.
• Proven experience writing API and programming documentation in a fast-paced software environment.
• Ability to write clearly with logical hierarchy and consistency across topics.
• Experience using generative AI tools as part of a professional workflow with validation.
• Ability to advocate for users' needs and current best practices in tech writing.
• Familiarity with Markdown, GitHub, Jira, and Swagger; programming knowledge in Java/Go/Python/TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain high-quality API and knowledge-base content aligned with product development.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, architecture, and client-facing teams to write API documentation and guides.
• Lead documentation initiatives and drive projects to completion with minimal oversight.
• Develop API references, integration guides, tutorials, quick starts, and developer resources.
• Use AI tools to research, draft, restructure, and improve technical content while ensuring accuracy.
