Job summary
Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Technical Project Manager for API Security to oversee the full software development lifecycle of our API Security portfolio.
You will drive sprint planning with Engineering, Research, and Product teams and coordinate across Sales, Services, and Support for smooth delivery. The role requires a Bachelor's in a technical field, 5+ years in technical software project management within Agile/Scrum, and proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and AI tools like Claude
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years managing technical software projects within Agile or Scrum.
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and generative AI tools such as Claude and Gemini.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the full software development lifecycle for the API Security product portfolio.
- Drive sprint planning and execution with Engineering, Research, and Product teams.
- Liaise with Sales, Services, and Support to enable cross-functional collaboration.
- Identify and resolve project conflicts to ensure timely milestones.
- Develop detailed project plans including schedules, resource allocation, and risk management.
