Job summary

Akamai Technologies is seeking a Technical Marketing Engineer to translate hands-on security expertise into credible content, demonstrations, and product marketing programs. You'll deploy Akamai security products, build lab environments, and create repeatable technical assets for customers and partners to understand API, AI, and agent security challenges.

Qualifications

• 8 years of hands-on experience in technical marketing, solutions engineering, or security engineering roles with customer-facing responsibilities.
• Hands-on knowledge of AI agents, LLM security, and agent-to-API interactions is preferred.
• Expertise in API Security, WAAP, and related security concepts is expected.
• Ability to deploy, configure, operate, and troubleshoot security infrastructure in cloud or on-prem environments.
• Ability to create demonstrations, labs, and technical content that connects product capabilities to customer challenges.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and operate Akamai security products in lab and production-like environments.
• Build PoC environments, reference architectures, API attack simulations, and agentic workflow scenarios.
• Create reusable demonstrations, labs, workshops, and technical training materials.
• Translate product capabilities into technical positioning, briefs, and sales assets for technical buyers.
• Develop technical blogs, white papers, integration guides, and architecture content.
• Review and validate technical claims in messaging and launch materials.
• Deliver product demos, technical briefings, and workshops for customers, partners, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Solution Engineering on roadmaps and feedback.
