Job summary

Remote is seeking a Senior Product Manager, Payroll to own the end-to-end product area, including API surfaces and developer experiences for integrations. You will partner with engineering leads and staff engineers to shape architecture, de-risk ideas with hands-on coding when appropriate, and drive the product vision across payroll and tax domains.

You will build strong cross-functional partnerships, own adoption and hypercare after release, and document decisions clearly to enable scalable

Qualifications

• Experience shaping architecture and technical direction.
• Prototype and write code to de-risk ideas and ship small pieces.
• Own products where APIs are the surface; design contracts and versioning.
• Identify root causes and fix underlying issues rather than surface fixes.
• Own adoption and hypercare beyond delivery to ensure long-term use.
• Collaborate across payroll, tax, and other teams to gather requirements.
• Document decisions and reasoning in writing for review and transparency.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in Cursor and/or Claude Code is required. You must be able to work autonomously across teams.
