Job summary

Commerce seeks a Senior Technical Product Manager to lead Feedonomics platform evolution, expanding API surface and building an in-platform AI assistant. You’ll own two strategic pillars: API surface growth and AI-powered catalog/channel actions using natural language.

Strong e-commerce knowledge and a technical orientation are essential. You will collaborate across engineering, design, sales, and support, manage roadmaps and backlogs, and stay ahead of MCP and agent tooling trends.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years owning platform, API, or developer-facing products
• Demonstrated track record of defining and shipping API products or developer tools used by external integrators
• Strong familiarity with the e-commerce technology stack: platforms (Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento), advertising channels, marketplaces
• Experience in a fast-paced, startup-like environment with ambiguous, high-stakes problems
• Technical background or strong technical orientation with API design and data workflows
• Familiarity with agent tooling ecosystems (MCP, function calling, SDKs) and why they matter
• Understanding of the agent harness and orchestration layers for LLMs and tools

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy and roadmap for Feedonomics’ programmatic access layer and APIs
• Define capability requirements and translate workflows into API capabilities
• Drive developer experience improvements for authentication, errors, rate-limits, and docs
• Lead product definition for a conversational AI assistant embedded in the platform
• Define and ship MCP/CLI/tools exposing capabilities to AI agents and workflows
• Collaborate with engineering to balance abstraction and API efficiency
• Stay current with agentic AI tooling and refine product strategy
• Lead end-to-end planning, backlog management, and sprint delivery
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis in e-commerce tech and AI tooling
• Collaborate with engineering, design, sales, and support to define requirements
• Decompose initiatives into iterative deliverables with measurable value
• Create Epics/Stories narratives; facilitate planning and grooming
• Validate functionality with users and stakeholders; demo features
• Define and track metrics to measure impact and iterate based on data
• Communicate strategy, outcomes, and performance to stakeholders
