Job summary

Lilly is constructing an advanced manufacturing facility in Houston, TX, for small molecule API production. The Senior Process Engineer provides hands-on engineering support, champions process knowledge, and collaborates across teams to optimize operations as the site scales to full GMP manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Biochemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of GMP manufacturing unit operations experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Serve as front-line process engineer or support front-line engineers on small molecule API production.
• Capture and maintain process knowledge artifacts including OCS, material and energy balances, and reaction kinetics.
• Support equipment and process system qualification and verification tests.
• Ensure application of Engineering Design Standards and Specifications with the Tech Center.
• Provide engineering support for Process Safety Management and PH reviews.
• Apply statistical thinking to monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and support modelling and simulation.
• Assist tech transfer and implement continuous improvement with cross-functional teams.
