Job summary

The Cigna Group seeks a Software Engineering Senior Advisor in Seattle, WA to lead a platform team delivering REST-based services for next‑generation architecture. You will act as lead developer across scrum teams, design APIs, and mentor staff while partnering with architects to mature technology components in the Evernorth environment.

You will work with QA to define test strategies, ensure quality, and guide standard practices.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in CS/CE or related field with 2 years of senior advisory/lead experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of related experience acceptable.
• Experience in healthcare or PBM industry is required.
• Experience migrating audits to cloud and data migration tools recommended.
• Ability to design APIs, data pipelines, and data verification tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of REST APIs in a multi-scrum team.
• Define API specifications with architects and SMEs; write code, tests, and reviews.
• Mentor team members and drive code quality and refactoring.
• Collaborate on data pipelines, streaming, and data lake initiatives.
• Set sprint plans and ensure delivery aligned with business needs.
• Partner with QA to define test strategies and resolve production issues.
