Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a technical leader to design and build enterprise-scale REST APIs and microservices using Java 21+ and Spring Boot. You will define API contracts, OpenAPI specs, and service interfaces, while guiding engineers through secure integrations (OAuth 2.0, JWT) and end-to-end delivery in AWS cloud environments.

You will own architecture decisions, lead code reviews, and set engineering standards for reliability, security, and scalability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience building enterprise-scale REST APIs and microservices.
• Ability to translate market requirements into software designs.
• Experience with API management and gateway platforms such as Apigee.
• Proficiency deploying software in public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience owning end-to-end software lifecycle and testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of enterprise-scale REST APIs and microservices.
• Architect API-first solutions and define service contracts and OpenAPI specs.
• Guide engineers in secure service integrations using OAuth 2.0 and JWT.
• Own software delivery from design through deployment, monitoring, and improvement.
• Establish engineering best practices for reliability, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with product, UI, architects, and partner teams.
• Drive automated testing, performance testing, and production readiness reviews.
• Mentor team and perform code reviews and architectural decisions.
