Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Principal Application System Analyst to support the State Health Plan initiative. The role focuses on gathering requirements for API Connect workstreams, documenting APIs, and creating developer specifications for enterprise solutions.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure end-to-end traceability, assess impacts, and guide design and deployment. This is a remote, contract opportunity with a favorable benefits package for w2 consultants.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in IT with API Connect and DataPower in last 5 years.
• Transitioned from developer to analyst with strong communication skills.
• Healthcare/health plan or insurance industry experience preferred.
• Experience with BCBS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements for API Connect development workstreams and document APIs.
• Create functional specifications for developers detailing updates and components.
• Influence design, deployment, and maintenance of complex enterprise solutions.
• Translate business requirements into enterprise functional designs.
• Ensure end-to-end traceability and manage upstream/downstream impacts.
• Review artifacts to ensure end-to-end product quality.
• Mentor less experienced staff and coordinate team efforts.
