Job summary

Healthspan is seeking an experienced API engineer to build and optimize a scalable telemedicine platform. You will design robust RESTful APIs, ensure security and performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality healthcare solutions.

The role emphasizes cloud-native architecture, Docker/Kubernetes deployment, and CI/CD practices to support rapid iteration and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in API development and related areas.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable APIs for applications and clients.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate requirements into technical specs.
• Ensure API security with authentication, authorization, and encryption mechanisms.
• Write clean, documented code following best practices.
• Optimize API performance for latency and throughput.
• Troubleshoot API functionality, performance, and integration issues.
• Mentor junior engineers in API development and architecture.
