Mutual of Omaha is seeking a seasoned software engineer to design, build, and mentor across cloud-native applications and enterprise integrations. You will develop and secure RESTful APIs, lead modernization efforts, and drive best practices in a remote-capable team.

You will work with Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and MuleSoft to deliver scalable, high-quality software across the Life Insurance Underwriting platform. Collaboration and mentoring are central to this role.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years designing, building, and delivering enterprise software solutions.
• Experience leading medium to large projects from a technical perspective.
• Strong hands-on with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices.

Aufgaben

• Modernize Mutual of Omaha's Life Insurance platform with enterprise APIs and integration solutions.
• Develop, deploy, and support Java/Spring Boot apps in AWS environments.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integration services for secure third-party connectivity.
• Design MuleSoft integrations using Anypoint Platform and DataWeave.
• Collaborate with business/tech teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Mentor developers, perform code reviews, promote engineering best practices.
• Influence API standards, integration patterns, and architectural direction.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to advance modernization initiatives.
