Job summary

Mutual of Omaha Insurance Co. seeks an Engineer II or Engineer III to provide technical leadership for modern enterprise output management, APIs, integrations and delivery platforms across the enterprise.

You will shape standards, drive modernization, and apply cloud, automation and AI practices to deliver scalable, reliable solutions. The role emphasizes cloud-first architecture, platform engineering, DevOps, and mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with progression in solution design and leadership (Engineer II).
• 7+ years of software engineering, solution design or leadership (Engineer III).
• Strong experience in Java and Spring Boot.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical Solution Lead for Enterprise Output Management (EOM).
• Design, develop, test and support scalable applications, APIs, integrations and event-driven solutions.
• Lead modernization initiatives with cloud-first architecture, automation and DevOps practices.
• Define technical standards, engineering practices and solution patterns for scalability, reliability and security.
• Partner with product owners and stakeholders to translate objectives into roadmaps and plans.
• Drive quality engineering and testing strategies with automated testing and API testing.
