Job summary

U.S. Bank seeks a seasoned Enterprise API Solution Engineer to lead the design, engineering, and operation of scalable API, AI, and cloud-native platform solutions for enterprise domains.

You will architect API gateway platforms such as Apigee, AWS API Gateway, and Azure API Management while driving secure, high-performance integrations. You will also build IaC with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and governance controls, focusing on OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, and RBAC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 6–8 years of relevant experience in platform engineering or API gateway/cloud infra.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, engineering, and operation of scalable API, AI, and cloud-native platform solutions for enterprise domains.
• Architect and manage enterprise API gateway platforms (Apigee, AWS API Gateway, Azure API Management).
• Develop and maintain API proxies, shared flows, gateway policies, and GraphQL services for secure, high-performance integrations.
• Build and enhance Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) and automation frameworks for provisioning, governance, and lifecycle management.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and self-service deployment capabilities to boost developer productivity.
• Drive security, compliance, and governance standards (OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, RBAC, audit logging).
• Design resilient multi-cloud networking and connectivity solutions (private endpoints, load balancing, DR, traffic management).
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration across Cloud, Security, IAM, Networking, and FinOps.
