Job summary

U.S. Bank seeks a senior Platform Engineer to lead Enterprise API Solution Engineering, building API, AI, and gateway platforms. You’ll work across enterprise domains to design scalable, secure, cloud-native solutions and drive automation-first governance.

Responsibilities include managing Apigee/AWS/Azure gateways, IaC with Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines, while mentoring teams and ensuring regulatory compliance in a hybrid/multi-cloud environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Six to eight years of relevant enterprise engineering experience.
• Strong API gateway and cloud platform design skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, engineering, and operation of scalable API, AI, and cloud-native platform solutions.
• Architect and manage API gateways (Apigee, AWS API Gateway, Azure API Management).
• Develop/manage API proxies, shared flows, policies, and GraphQL services.
• Improve IaC and automation for provisioning, governance, and lifecycle.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and self-service deployment to boost productivity.
• Uphold security, compliance, and governance standards (OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, RBAC).
• Design multi-cloud networking, private endpoints, load balancing, DR, and traffic mgmt.
• Provide technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
