Job summary

U.S. Bank in Kentucky is seeking a senior Platform Engineer to lead Enterprise API Solution Engineering, building API, AI, and gateway platforms for scalable, secure integrations across hybrid cloud environments.

You will design and operate API gateways (Apigee, AWS API Gateway, Azure API Management), drive CI/CD and IaC (Terraform, Helm, Ansible), and enforce security standards (OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, RBAC) while mentoring engineers and partnering with Cloud, IAM, Security, Networking, and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
Six to eight years of relevant API platform and cloud engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Lead design, engineering, and operation of scalable API/AI platform solutions for enterprise domains.
Architect and manage API gateway platforms (Apigee, AWS, Azure).
Develop and maintain API proxies, shared flows, and gateway policies.
Build IaC and automation frameworks to support provisioning and governance.
Implement CI/CD pipelines and self-service deployment capabilities.
Drive security, compliance, and governance standards (OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, RBAC).
Design multi-cloud networking and connectivity, including DR and traffic management.
Provide technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration with Cloud, Security, IAM, Networking, and FinOps teams.
