Job summary

Sutter West Bay Medical Group is seeking an APC Service Line Lead for Medical Specialties to provide strategic and operational leadership for APCs across the service line. The role includes supervision, recruitment collaboration, and professional development to advance an integrated, high‑performing APC practice.

The position maintains active clinical practice at 0.7 FTE within the specialty and dedicates 0.3 FTE to leadership duties, reporting to the Director of Advanced Practice.

Qualifications

• Current NP or PA employed full-time (1.0 FTE) within the service line and in good standing.
• Minimum of three (3) years of APC clinical experience.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with physicians, APCs, operational leaders, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated interest in leadership, professional development, and practice improvement.
• Ability to balance clinical and administrative responsibilities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, operational, and professional leadership for APC practice across the service line.
• Supervise APCs and collaborate with operational leadership on recruitment, onboarding, and retention.
• Lead performance management, professional development planning, and succession planning.
• Promote APC practice standards, standardization, and optimal scope of practice across sites.
• Drive workforce development, engagement, and leadership development initiatives.
• Monitor metrics and quality initiatives, supporting continuous improvement.
